Meet the dirty blonde.

I’m Alyssa, the owner (& baker!) of Dirty Blondies Bake Shop. I live outside of Boston, in Salem, MA, with my husband Andrew and our rescue dog Baxter.

I’ve always loved cooking and baking, and have been writing a cooking blog (Crunchy Salty Sweet) since 2014. My blog has served as a creative outlet from my corporate consulting job, and has provided an opportunity to share tons of goodies with my friends, family, and co-workers.

Dirty Blondies was born out of my perhaps unhealthy obsession with brown butter. I love the nutty and rich flavor it gives every recipe its added to – and I'm constantly incorporating it in anything that calls for butter (seriously, add it to your rice krispie treats… you’ll thank me later).

After making a few batches of snickerdoodle blondies with brown butter, my co-workers, family, and friends who tasted them could not get enough. When even the most chocolate-obsessed commented on how much they loved these blondies – I knew I knew I was onto something special.

Fast-forward a couple years, many (M A N Y) pounds of brown butter later, and Dirty Blondies Bake Shop LLC was launched to the masses in 2018.
